So I guess, instead of spending this afternoon at the soccer field or at the edge of it, we will spend it on the couch rather. With some (miso-)soup for me, tea, candle light, fragrant oil and lots of children's books.
And maybe a few stitches. Only very few missing.
This pair of traditional bavarian knee highs was "supposed to be finished for the Oktoberfest". And it will. This year. For sure.
Although it doesn't look like it, it has been one of the most demanding patterns I've knit. It's not complicated but you can rarely put the sixth needle out of reach due to endless slipstitches. It's knit with Schachenmayr Regia sock wool, I love the colour. Pattern: from Schachenmayr "Best of Trachten- und Landhausmode" which I seriously bought because of these knee highs only.
Will try to update you with a picture from the "Wiesn" soon.
Thank you Ginny for sharing your love of knitting and reading.
