Now, back to knitting. Cause it’s Wednesday – time to yarn along with Ginny. Well, so far there has been more spinning than knitting. Spinning away really, every spare minute.
I’ve been wanting to knit the tea leaves cardigan for ages. Now that I have made up my mind to do it with some handspun yarn, I have only come as far as making a swatch.
When I told a friend about the project, she asked me whether I could spin well enough to obtain a consistent yarn for the cardigan. Since I like the irragularities and natural look of handspun yarn, I hope it will be just about consistent enough. Hoping that works for the pattern…
In the meantime I am reading, or rather looking at the pictures of „Creative Spinning“ (English Title). I am not really creative at spinning. Maybe I haven’t come that far yet but at the moment I am so much enjoying the continuity of the activity itself and the look and feel of this wonderful wool, that I haven’t started thinking of any experiments or new projects. To be honest, I bought the book because of it’s beautiful pictures, vivid colours and creative ideas (to look at).
