A while ago, I had to quickly pack my bag to go on a weekend trip and wanted to grab something light and uncomplicated to knit on the way.
I picked an Isager pattern and matching yarn for a Shawl from the wonderful book "Maschenpoesie". I wrote about it a while ago.
It's the "Camomille Shawl" and as far as I can say, yes, it's light but I'm not sure about the "uncomplicated" part. I've read that the lace part is quite tricky and I am not even that far yet… The further you get, the wider the shawl and one row takes me 10 minutes already. Also, I am not used to knit with two yarns.
A challenge, but I think it's going to be nice.
Since it came to my mind that the shawl could be a Christmas present, it's going to be a last minute one in any case. So I guess, there isn't going to be much reading before the Holidays, that I can report of.
Well, someone seems to like the shawl already.
Joining Ginny this afternoon and then quickly back to my knitting and other Christmas preparations!

I am getting ready to knit a shawl with two yarns for the first time. I am sure that your shawl will be stunning and work the time in the end. It will be a dream to wear!
Your yarn, pattern and cat all look rather squishy and wonderful!
Good luck with the lace bits 🙂

Beautiful!
What a pretty shawl pattern. The yarn is beautiful.
Aww, love the kitty picture! I’m glad I’m not the only one who has cat fur permanently woven into her knitting! 😉
